The  Happy  Person

Will anybody be happier because I passed their way?
Will anyone remember that I spoke to them today?
When the day is over and the hard work is through;
Will anyone say a kind word about me or you?

Will I say tonight 
as I'm going off to sleep
I helped a single person
of the many that I passed?

Will a single heart be happy
over what I'll do or say?
Will a person who feels really down be happy in some way?


Will I just waste today?
