In our class we have been exploring still life artwork with
our art teacher Jo. Still life is a picture of inanimate (not alive) objects.
Common still life subjects include fruit, flowers and bottles.
Firstly Jo showed us some examples of great artists'
work. Then we watched her arrange the objects in an interesting way.
After that she sketched her work in yellow chalk so that the chalk
can be painted under.

Next Jo gave us a few tips on how we might like to apply the paint.
She also showed us ways to shade the picture to help us show were
the light was coming from. Then she set us off to work.
At the end of the lesson most of us had finished our work and they looked
great.
